Road Trip to Kingman, Arizona!

I and Gracie drove down to Kingman to visit with M.  I started a hand-sewing art quilt project on the evening I spent in Ely, NV, on the way down there.  I used some #8 cotton thread I bought in Wells, at that fine quilt shop.

We went to the drag races on Route 66 and had so much fun!  We went to Glendale and visited with K.  We all did some acrylic printing on fabric and made a mess of K.  It was so much fun!

This is Jomax, and I hand stitched the head that is in her pocket, while M used her sewing machine to make hats.

I had started a rag doll on my trip and finished it up at M's place.  Her name is Jomax, and M took her and Inez with us to see K.  Then, after we got back from Glendale, we did some serious sew time.  M made a trendy Halloween sun hat for her upcoming cruise.  I made another doll.  I used the fabric, the three of us printed on and it works amazing for freaky dolls!

I could not decide which side of the doll was the front and back, so I made a face on both sides!  It is a reversable doll.  M gave me some cool buttons, which she bought at JoAnn's, back in the day (literally months ago).

We went to Chloride for their annual Chloride days, but we were a week early.  Sandy, at the visitor center gave us a map of things to see and do, so we did all the things without the crowd.  We went to the antique shop and found a mad artist woman who inspired me alot.   Mad art:
